This week’s SureWest Sports Show aired today online, and as always the show is filled with game highlights from high school sports around the Sacramento region.
Week 10 of the high school football season includes highlights from Christian Brother at Casa Roble and Nevada Union at Rocklin.
Other football highlights come from a pair of youth football championship games, one in the SVUSA league where the Lincoln Jr. Fighting Zebras took on the Roseville Jr. Tigers in their Jr. Midget Division championship. Also, in the SFC, the Sacramento Jr. Falcons matched up with the host Cosumnes Oaks Jr. Wolfpack for the Midget Division title.
We have action from the Masters girl’s golf championships, along with postgame interviews from the ladies of the victorious Christian Brothers and with their head coach Debbie Henning, as well as well with junior golfing sensation Paige Lee of Granite Bay.
The show also has highlights of the Division II girl’s section championship matches in both singles and doubles where Granite Bay prevailed in both, and we bring you Round 1 playoff action in boy’s soccer with Waterford at Encina.
As always, we talk to the Sacramento Bee’s Joe Davidson in our “Sports Chat” segment.
In this week’s Spotlight Interview, we talk to Casa Roble’s long time head football coach, Norm Ryan.
